Everything but a supercharger : )

How good is it? It's perfect, I want one! For about $25-30k you can get a clean E92 M3 with your choice of a manual or dual clutch transmissions, 2 or 4 doors. It is refined enough to drive everyday, but fun enough to keep you smiling. Put an exhaust on and let that beautiful V8 sing all the way to the 8300 RPM redline (414HP and 295TQ stock). This car feels perfectly balanced, and has traction control that gives you the perfect amount of slip before bringing you back. I would LOVE to throw some sticky tires on this car and hit the track!

A big thanks to James for letting me drive his gorgeous M3. The interior, wheels and styling are the first thing you notice about this car. It has a very strong presence, and commands attention at car shows/meets. All this without a supercharger? Yes!!! Gobs of power can be fun, but I personally prefer balance over wheel spin. And, for the price of a supercharger kit you can buy a dedicated track car.

The dual clutch transmission is sweet. I've only ever experienced Audi and Porsche's, but BMW's lets you tune the ferocity of the shifts. Turning that all the way up, coupled with the DCT tune makes this thing shift like the Ferrari F430 I tested a couples months back; it's a very strong slamming between gears like a real sequential transmission. The ability to tune that setting is great, and adds to the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde personality of this car.

These are really fun cars that can be had at great value right now. Available in a wide array of colors and options to suit your exact tastes, even a convertible. The only strike for this car, maybe, is the semi-poor gas mileage. But with enthusiast drivers reporting an average of 17 MPG, that's pretty great for a V8!!
